gambling will ruin Florida I think not!!!!!

It seems to me there might be a conspiracy theory afoot, really here in America today and I don’t think we are aware of it, in fact I feel  it has become an integral part of how we live, think and go about our lives today . We have voted and gone along with a right wing Christian directive that didn’t necessarily come from the almighty above.  All you drinkers who thought that after prohibition passed you would pay your hiked up tax rates on the devils venom and that would be penance enough are sadly mistaken.
At all levels of government the Christian right have impregnated the key positions of law making and enforced there intolerance for drink, and given us all types of easily governed and policed money making regimes for the penalization of the non-believers.
Speeding and other traffic violations unless linked to drink are poor revenue providers compared to DUI on its own. States like Florida, who initially fore goad the lucrative gaming business and all the taxes they could have benefitted from, went with DUI laws that bring in a much better way of dealing with human problems that we sometimes try to forget about. Unemployed, illegal immigrants, transient problem, vagrancy, parole violators, lazy people in general  can be more easily monitored and dealt with if strong laws and penalties are enforceable.
With the DUI laws, offenders,  and then repeat offenders can be held in the system and made to pay huge amounts of money that help to keep the state running. Sounds like a good plan at first glance, but with all great plans if abused it becomes redundant. If the crime is punished with only the thought of revenue to the state and not the protection of the individual’s rights we are prosecuting, the law goes awry.  Florida is the state of choice for all drug and drink rehabilitation in the USA.
I just want to ask the question, WE DID NOT want gaming and all the problems that come in the box of tricks with it, DRUGS, DRINK, CRIME, ETC. ETC. but vast Tax revenues, we already have the lottery and boats offshore.
WE GOT! Halfway houses, Re-hab clinics, overcrowded prisons and a drug center for the whole of the USA.
And very strict DUI laws that make sure we keep those numbers climbing.
Are we getting all we expected, what we voted for, what we thought we voted for, or are the dealers of life dealing from the bottom of the pack and taking us down a different road with a road block ready to test our sanity and our sobriety?
